Ragesh Tangri and Mark Lemley Present at the Advanced Patent Law Institute in Austin

The 15th Annual Advanced Patent Law Institute was held in Austin, Texas this year, and featured counsel from Microsoft, Freescale and Trilogy, as well as leading academics from Stanford, Mercer, and the University of Texas Law School.

Durie Tangri partner Ragesh Tangri conducted a session titled "Ethic Issues Relating to Patent Practice."  This half hour session highlighted recent events in legal malpractice and conflicts in the patent litigation and prosecution arena. 

Durie Tangri partner Mark Lemley presented on how patent examiners ignore applicant-submitted prior art, as well as the recent Bilski v. Kappos Supreme Court ruling on the eligibility of software patents.
