Corporate Counsel Magazine Names Mark Lemley One of the 25 Most Influential People in Intellectual Property

September 9, 2010

Corporate Counsel magazine has published its list of the 25 Most Influential People in Intellectual Property.  Durie Tangri partner Mark Lemley, who was described as "unquestionably the most-quoted IP scholar alive today" was among those selected, along with Justice Anthony Kennedy, Senator Patrick Leahy, Representative Howard Berman and others.

The article noted a recent survey conducted by legal research outlet HeinOnline of 19 million pages of content in the Law Journal Library, which found Mark to be cited more times than U.S. Supreme Court justice Louis Brandeis.  The article also noted Mark's impact in the landmark 2006 Supreme Court ruling in eBay v. MercExchange which adopted much of the reasoning Mark laid out in an amicus brief filed on behalf of a group of law professors.
