Zack joined Durie Tangri after a clerkship with Chief Judge Sidney R. Thomas of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Zack received his J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was an editor for the Yale Journal on Regulation and the Yale Journal of Law and Technology. He also served as a research assistant to antitrust and intellectual property faculty, and as a teaching fellow for economics undergraduates at Yale. During law school summers, Zack worked for the U.S. Department of Justice's Antitrust Division and for Munger, Tolles & Olson.

Prior to law school, Zack worked as a reporter and analyst for the founders of Politico. He also interned in the data science department of a start-up later acquired by Twitter. Zack received his B.A. in economics from Yale College, where he was an editor for the Yale Daily News.

Zack's scholarship has appeared in the Yale Law Journal and at the Searle Center's Annual Conference on Antitrust Economics and Competition Policy. A San Francisco native, Zack grew up in South Dakota and now lives in North Beach. He plays Ultimate, runs and skis in his spare time.
