Sam’s practice focuses on complex civil matters, with an emphasis on intellectual property litigation and counseling.  Sam started his career at Weil, Gotshal and Manges, where he represented and advised technology and media companies on a wide range of copyright, trademark, and First Amendment issues.

Sam clerked for Judge Harry T. Edwards on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, and for Judge Alison J. Nathan on the Southern District of New York.  He graduated from New York University School of Law summa cum laude, and was an articles editor for the New York University Law Review.

In his spare time, Sam enjoys playing and designing pen-and-paper roleplaying games, as well as slowly eating his way through Oakland Chinatown.
