Ramsey came to Durie Tangri to join a team of smart people who love solving complicated problems. He joined the firm after litigating complex commercial disputes as an associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. Before that, he clerked for the Honorable David C. Godbey on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
Ramsey graduated from Columbia Law School, where he was Student Senate President and both a James Kent and Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. He also published an article entitled “Evaluating a ‘Concussion Clause’: Why the NFL’s Assumption of Risk Defense Fares No Better As Time Goes On,” in the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment and Technology Law. Before law school, Ramsey graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude from Santa Clara University with a B.S. in Economics and Political Science and a B.A. in History. His honors included the Richard J. Riordan Award for his work with the Northern California Innocence Project.
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Ramsey is an avid fan of the San Jose Sharks and Oakland A’s. He enjoys playing the drums, cooking for his family, and helping his Mini Bernedoodle, Oliver, find the “perfect stick” on walks.
