Jesse joined Durie Tangri after a two-year clerkship with the Honorable Jeffrey S. White of the Northern District of California. She began her legal career as an associate at Holland & Knight LLP where she worked on a variety of complex civil litigation but focused on intellectual property matters. At Holland & Knight, Jesse served as the co-chair of the San Francisco office’s Women’s Initiative. She teaches legal writing and research at University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
Jesse received her J.D., cum laude, from Boston University School of Law, where she was an articles editor for the Journal of Science & Technology Law. Jesse also directed the law school’s sketch comedy show. Before attending law school, Jesse worked as a journalist and documentary filmmaker. She studied broadcast journalism at New York University, where she won awards for investigative journalism and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
In her free time, Jesse enjoys dabbling in fiction writing, making puns, traveling with her husband, taking long meandering walks around San Francisco, and playing with her rescue terrier Lucille Ball.
