Cat’s practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, including patent, trademark, and copyright law, as well as business litigation for technology companies. She has represented video game developers and mobile synchronization companies in patent infringement cases, and defended Facebook in business tort litigation.
Prior to joining Durie Tangri, she clerked for the Honorable Paul S. Grewal and the Honorable Beth L. Freeman in the United States District Court for the District of Northern California. She graduated from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone and James Kent Scholar. In law school, Cat served as Executive Managing Editor of the Columbia Journal of Gender and Law, and received the Clinical Legal Education Association Outstanding Student Award for her work in Columbia’s Immigrants’ Rights Clinic.
Before joining the legal world, Cat worked at the boutique investment bank McNamee Lawrence & Co., focusing on technology start up mergers & acquisitions. She received her B.A. in Latin from Yale.
Cat’s hobbies include knitting and teaching her dog new tricks. She is fluent in Spanish.
