Sonali Maitra and Alex Feerst discuss the intersection of speech and IP rights in an article in today’s Daily Journal on parodies of government agency seals.  Sonali and Alex outline the matter in which the online retailer received letters from the NSA and DHS stating that Zazzle (in connection with an individual seller’s virtual storefront) was violating federal laws by offering goods with slogans such as, “The NSA:  The only part of the government that actually listens,” and discuss some implications of this “short-lived litigation.”
