Lara A. Rogers

B.S., Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Neuroscience and Political Science, 2005

J.D., Yale Law School, 2008

Lara’s lifelong fascination with technology first led her to M.I.T., from which she graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 2005 with Bachelor of Science degrees in both neuroscience and political science.  Lara next earned a J.D. from Yale Law School in 2008.  At Yale, Lara served as editor-in-chief of the Yale Journal of Law & Technology and as an editor of the Yale Law Journal.

Lara began her legal career as an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, where she worked on a variety of intellectual property lawsuits and transactions for clients in the computer, biotechnology, aviation, telecommunications, and financial services industries.  While at Skadden, Lara volunteered with Community Legal Services of East Palo Alto, for which the California State Bar awarded her the Wiley W. Manual pro bono award in 2011.

When Lara isn’t working or volunteering, you can find her cooking, running, reading, or watching anime to maintain her Japanese language skills.
