B.S. Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mechanical Engineering, 1998
J.D. Boalt Hall, University of California, Berkeley, 2008
Jesse’s family was initially taken aback when, after seven years of working as an engineer, he announced that he was going to law school. But to Jesse, it made perfect sense: Jesse’s appetite for solving complex, technology-oriented legal problems, combined with an innate competitive streak, make him a natural litigator.
Prior to joining Durie Tangri, Jesse was an associate with Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan where he worked on a variety of patent matters across a broad range of technology for companies both large and small. Jesse graduated from Berkeley Law (Boalt Hall) in 2008 with a Law & Technology Certificate. In law school, Jesse served as an Executive Editor of the California Law Review and an Associate Editor of the Berkeley Technology Law Journal. Jesse also holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from M.I.T. Before attending law school, Jesse designed robotic hardware and software to automate laboratory processes at a startup that was eventually acquired by Schering-Plough.
On the weekends Jesse can be found hiking with his wife, two daughters, and a Yorkshire terrier at one of the many beautiful East Bay parks.
