Genevieve graduated cum laude from the University of Maryland, with High Honors in Government and Politics. She attended law school at UC Berkeley (Boalt Hall), where she was a member of the Berkeley Journal of Law and Technology. She spent three semesters with Boalt's Samuelson Law, Technology and Public Policy Clinic where she advised the Chilean government on domestic and international copyright issues.

Genevieve spends her free time enjoying the San Francisco bluegrass music scene and experimenting in the kitchen with ingredients from the Bay Area's abundant farmer's markets.
